Personal Summary
James L. Wescoat Jr., Ph.D. University of Chicago, 1983, is a
Professor of Geography with research interests in water
management and policy issues in the western U.S. and South Asia
(primarily Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh). He has conducted
research on the geographic logic of water law; the historical and
cultural geography of water development; and the linkages between
water policy and landscape planning. Jim teaches courses on
international, western, and urban water policy. He is a member of
the Environment and Behavior Program in the Institute of Behavioral
Sciences, the advisory board for the CU Natural Hazards Center, and
is the faculty advisor for the CU Student Water Issues Group.
